“To balance and unite the world through the universal energy of nature”

The East-West Story
Jonny’s story (Founder)
This company was originally dreamed up almost 20 years ago in 2002 when i had the good fortune to train with a 36th-generation Shaolin Monk Shifu Yan Xin.
In the year 2000 age 20 years old, I went to London to watch the famous stage show the Shaolin Wheel of Life about the Shaolin Warrior Monks telling their life story and showcasing their amazing Hard Qigong skills like iron head and Iron leg/arm having wooden boards broken over their heads (In my teacher’s case breaking 2 iron bars on his forehead as well as lying on a bed of nails whilst having a sledge hammer break a slab of concrete on his stomach).

Luckily for me in a twist of fate or synchronicity, he settled in England in Southampton whilst I was at University in Southampton and started teaching classes. He Taught me Shaolin Kungfu, Qigong and meditation.
For the first time in my life, I felt this energy in my hands that was affected by my breathing and also realised that we could heat up and cool down our bodies as well as slow down or speed up our heart rates using just the power of our minds. I saved up for a whole year to pay for a Kung fu school, trip to China to train in china, and visit the Shaolin Monastery in Henan province as well as the Great Wall, Terra-Cotta warriors, the forbidden city, temple of heaven, Hua shan Mountain and many more.

I was obsessed and had to learn as much about this energy as I could I bought all the books in Waterstones at the time (which were only 3) conducted my dissertation on Yoga and Tai chi as stress management tools and then I spent the next 10 years from 2002-2012 gaining a 2nd-degree/Dan black belt in Ki Aikido.
Learning Korean Ki energy healing systems, becoming a fully qualified level 3 personal trainer and trained Sports Massage Therapist, Relexologist, Aromatherapist, Reiki and indian head massage therapist and Chek Practitioner.
I continued practising Qigong, and Tai Chi and even being married on the auspicious date of 12/12/2012 in Thailand by Mantack Chia a Daoist master at his Dao Garden resort in Chiang Mai.

“I have always felt that it was fate not luck that I have managed to study with so many highly competent masters”
Finally for the 10 years between 2012 and 2022 i have focused on specialising in Daoism and Qigong, learning the more than 2000 year old Kunlun Mountain ‘Dayan’ or Wild Goose qigong with the Tse qigong Centre since 2014 (having been a qualified instructor for the last 5 years).

“I have always felt that it was fate not luck that I have managed to study with so many highly competent masters. I have witnessed people losing health and vitality and even losing their lives well before they should do and I feel it is my duty now to bring what I have learned into the western culture especially to bring energy and well-being into the health and fitness arena.
Like the martial arts journey of a warrior to the healer to the priest, I want to teach others how to heal themselves and live their best lives, the need for that now is greater then ever I feel which is why I have finally launched this company.”
Therefore my Statement of Intent for East West Energy and Wellbeing is as follows:
